I am delighted, and in a constant state of awe and wonder at readers’ reception of Make No Mistake – The Novel. Some of you are reading chapters here on Substack, others are listening to chapters on the podcast (Apple and Spotify), and still others are buying the paperback and e-book.
So many of your comments about the story melt this author’s heart. Writers always hope their words will touch others, perhaps offer comfort or solace, or even inspire readers to try something new.
In my case, I wanted to share Make No Mistake with readers because it is a story of resistance and hope. And right now, we need both more than ever.
Here on Substack, Make No Mistake is being read in 27 U.S. states and 12 countries. Let’s see how many more readers we can reach with this story. Maggie (the unforgettable main character) is quite insistent that I keep finding ways to get her story out there. But I can’t do it without you. Here are a few things that would help, no matter where you first read (or listened to) the story.
1. Write a review on Amazon. It doesn’t have to be long, even a sentence about the impact Make No Mistake had on you. This helps other readers decide if they want to read the book.
2. Write a review on Goodreads. A few words to recommend the book to others.
3. Ask your local library to order the book. The paperback is now available through IngramSpark which is the site libraries and booksellers use to place their orders.
4. Order a copy of the paperback or e-book through your local independent bookstore.
And if none of this is within the realm of the possible for you, yet you loved the story, leave me a comment with your thoughts and let me know if I can share your comment here on Substack.
Maggie and I thank you.
#4 = accomplished! #1-3 asap. :)
